To make these gloves, I start with a wonderful raw Shetland fleece from Hemlock Hill Farm in Maine. After washing, I use Viking combs to align the fibers and separate the coarser outer coat from the softer inner coat.  I then spun the inner coat into a two-ply DK weight yarn. Knitting the gloves is, of course, the last step in the process!  These gloves are a dream to wear--both warm and comfortable!  When you place your order, I spin the yarn and knit the gloves especially for you, so the TAT is 2-3 weeks.
